Baked Meat Pies

prep time 20 minutes, cooking time 15 minutes, baking time 25 minutes, serves 6 people


Baked Meat pies are tasty appetizer and great  for parties and potlucks


  • 1 package puff pastry disks
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp smoke paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin ground
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 yellow onion, grated
  • 1 egg


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 Degrees
  2. Heat the oil in your skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook on medium high heat heat for about 8 minutes.
  3. Add grated onion and all the spices and cook for 5 minutes. Turn the heat off and let the meat cool.
  4. Lay dough circle on the flat surface , place 1 to 2 teaspoons of the filling in the center of each round.

5.Fold the circle over the filling to make a half circle. Pinch and fold edges , or using the back side of a fork, press around the edges to seal the pie.

        6.Transfer the pies to the prepared baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Brush with egg wash. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
