Easy Homemade Hummus

Prep time 20 minutes, serves 6 people


Humanmade hummus is better than store -bought. Under 20 minutes you can make a delicious, fluffy, creamy, and full of flavor   hummus . You will love it.


  • 1 can chickpeas (16 oz)
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp paprika to garnish
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced


  1. Open the can of  chickpeas, drain  in a fine mesh strainer under cool running water until water runs clear, about 20 seconds.
  2. Transfer chickpeas to a food processor , add  tahini, lemon juice, 3 tbsp olive oil, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper. Process until smooth, scraping down the sides with a spatula when the hummus gets stuck to the walls of the bowl.

     3.Process once more. With the food processor running, drizzle  the ice cold water. Process until smooth and creamy.

4.Transfer into serving bowl , drizzle with rest of olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika
