These Puff pastry tarts an elegant dessert combining sweet roasted figs, cream cheese and honey. they make a delicious treat for holidays
Ingredients:
For the Tartlets:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 9 fresh figs, halved
- 6 oz cream cheese
- ¼ cup honey
- fresh mint leaves for garnish
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Roast the Figs: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place halved figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast for 10 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.
- Prepare the Puff Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into small circles or squares to fit a mini tartlet mold or muffin tin. Press the pastry into the molds and prick the bottoms with a fork. Brush the tarts with egg wash
3.Bake the Tartlet Shells: Pre-bake the tartlet shells for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
4. Mix cream cheese with 2 tbsp of honey
5. Assemble the Tartlets: Using the piping bag pipe cream cheese mixture into tarts
6. Place a roasted fig half into each tartlet shell.
7. Drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh mint leaves
