Baklava Bracelets with Roasted walnuts

Simple and easy baklava recipe filled with roasted walnuts and honey. The baklava is shaped like a round bracelet, resembling a cup that holds in delicious crispy walnuts mixed with honey and Cardamone. A real show stopper that’s super easy and quick to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 package phyllo pastry*
  • 100 g melted butter, cooled (½ cup)
  • 150 g roasted walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Cardamone
  • 150 ml honey+ 20 ml water
  • 2tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400°F/200°C .Take out  Phyllo dough out of box. Make sure you cover the sheets you aren’t using with plastic wrap followed by a damp kitchen towel to prevent them from drying out.
  2. Take one of of a phyllo sheet and brush a little melted butter over it, fold in half and brush with butter again

3. Place a straw or skewer on the shorter edge, then start rolling it on the pastry. Make sure it’s not too tight, otherwise the pastry can crack. Leave 1 inch at the end unrolled.

        4.  Dab some more melted butter over the rolled side, then push the pastry from each sides to crinkle
