Prep time 20 minutes, baking time 50 minutes
These super cute Halloween chocolate mini cakes perfect for a party. It’s topped with adorable mini candy pumpkins, and cake crumble “soil” to add a touch of realism that will wow everyone.
Ingredients
- 1 bar dark chocolate, broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick), softened
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 – 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsps baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 cup of whipped cream
- 1 cup pumpkin candy for decoration
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9″ by 13 ” baking pan.
- Stir together chocolate bar pieces, butter and water in medium bowl until chocolate is melted. Stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt in large bowl; gradually add butter mixture, beating until well blended. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla; beat on medium speed 1 minute. Pour batter into prepared pan
- Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely.
- Using cookie cutter cut circles, apply whipped cream
5 Crumble leftovers from cake and sprinkle on top of whipped cream. Decorate with pumpkin candies
