Peach Gallete

prep time 15 minutes, baking tome 30 minutes

This easy Peach Galette is the perfect summer dessert! Use a store-bought puff pastry the simple free-form pie is delicious either way.  This pastry has combination of ripe, juicy peaches with  flaky pastry and  makes the delicious , beautiful dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry dough, thawed
  • 3 peaches , sliced
  • 1 tbsp sugar substitute
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375℉. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Place the dough in the center of a clean, lightly floured work surface. Using a rolling pin roll the dough  1o inches in diameter and about 1/8-inch thick.

3.Gently transfer the dough to the sheet pan, being careful not to pull or tear the dough. Place in the fridge while you prepare the filling.

4.Place peach slices in the bowl and add lemon juice to coat peach slices .

5.Lay the peach slices in an even layer or a decorative spiral pattern, leaving about 1-2 inches around the edge. Fold the pastry over the peaches, overlapping the dough as needed.

6.Brush the pastry with the egg wash(an egg mixed with water helps the edges of the crust turn a beautiful golden brown) and generously sprinkle with the sugar

        7.Bake for 30 until the pastry is golden and the peaches are tender If the crust begins to brown too quickly, cover loosely with aluminum foil.

8.Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room-temperature on a baking rack until set.  Serve warm with a dusting of confectioners sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream (optional) Enjoy
