This Spinach cake with Smoked Salmon is amazing appetizer and will compliment any festive meal. Combination of spinach cake layers, cream cheese and smoked salmon is very satisficing and very beautiful.
- 150 g spinach
- 4 eggs
- 1.5 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 250 g smoked salmon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- Preheat the oven to 350 F
- Wash the spinach . Place into blender , add vegetable oil, sour cream , egg yolks and blend for 4 minutes, or until it smooth.
3.Beat egg whites with salt and sugar until stiff picks.
4.Sift flour and baking powder and add to spinach mixture and mix well.
5.Carefully fold egg whites with spinach batter.
6.Transfer the batter evenly into baking pan covered with parchment paper.
7.Place the baking pan in to oven and bake for 15 minutes, remove from the oven and let it cool.
8.First, remove the parchment paper , cut the edges straight. Second, cut the cake sheet into 3 even pieces.
9.Place one piece of cake on serving platter. Spread cream cheese on it.
10.Evenly place the slices of smoked salmon over the cream cheese spread.. Repeat with rest of cake layers.
11.Crumble the edges of cake and sprinkle on top of last layer. Decorate with roses made of salmon slices.
